Moinology
Engineered for Earth.
Ready for Mars

Explore the cutting-edge science behind the Moinology Project, where innovation meets nature's adaptability. Our research delves into the fascinating world of Moina, microcrustaceans that have evolved to thrive in the most challenging environments. With our advanced three-stage cultivation system, we are pioneering a new era in sustainable biomass production, offering solutions that far exceed traditional cultivation methods
About
Moinology Project
Hundreds of millions years of life in dramatically changing conditions have developed adaptations
in Moina to extremely high rates of population growth.
However, due to the frequent change of trophic conditions to starvation, Moina received multi-level protection from overpopulation. Our previous fundamental studies of the pheromone signal “Hunger!” and the endocrinology of Moina make it possible to overcome negative adaptations and use positive ones to obtain a stable harvest of crustaceans, which is many times higher than primitive cultivation technologies.
Moina sp. are microcrustaceans that live in temporary water bodies.

Technology
Overview
Our state-of-the-art cultivation system is designed for the continuous, high-efficiency production of Moina, powered by advanced PLC automation and real-time sensor control. The system consists of modular cultivation blocks with integrated phytobioreactors (up to 300 liters) and Moina cultivators (up to 400 liters), allowing for scalable expansion across research and industrial applications.
